Welcome to Hit-List-Reviews!
As I said in my introduction post, every music album is an individual piece of art and should be treated in that way. Therefore, I actually set some guidelines which could be for instance:
- How good was the album’s lyrical content? Did the album deliver a specific message? How good was the wordplay? How were its overall rhyming structures? How creatively was it written? Is it a concept album that tells a story from a beginning to an end or is it rather a mashup of different songs with no structure at all? Who was the producer and how good were the beats on the album?
- Was there something I didn’t like about the album?
- How much did I enjoy it while listening to it?
- Were there any other special things I did notice about the album? What are the special and unique things about it?
However, I won’t just stick to the guidelines I set for myself and review them on every project in the same way. I will rather keep some guidelines in my head and analyze every project individually without going through the points in a particular order. Instead, I will let the pen carry my thoughts and put them on the paper spontaneously. Because after all, you would get bored soon if I would happen to go through every project in the same way with the same words in the same order just like a teacher who is correcting a math test. Musical taste is individual and should be treated like that.
As time passes I will enhance my reviews, depending on your comments about what possibly could be added to them. Just as changes in the English and any other languages happen constantly as time passes, so do they in my reviews.
I wish you guys a pleasant stay on the site and hope you have fun at reading.
